Summer Smoothies

Armed with a glass of Pina Colada in my hand I am ready to tell you all about these light, airy & fruity smoothies I found in a magazine that I have tried and tested on my family.

I come from a very LARGE family so when we get together for Birthdays, Easter, Christmas, Sunday lunches or just for the fun of it (which is pretty often as we are now up to 40 members and that’s just on my mom’s side of the family), it is always noisy with all the kids running around having fun but that noise doesn’t just come from the kids, the adults can raise the noise level pretty well too with all the talking, storytelling, joking and laughing.

So this past weekend we had such a gathering for a joint birthday celebration for my Uncle, cousin-in-law & sister-in-law.  With the temperature reaching a scorching 34 degrees, I really wanted to have something to drink that would go down smoothly, with a light, airy and fruity taste.

And YES, I found it in the form of 3 different flavours of SMOOTHIES.  These are really delicious and were perfect for that hot and humid day…..it was so refreshing and my family thoroughly enjoyed them too.

So before I move onto my next glass of Pina Colada, let’s get down to how it’s made so you can join me…..
