As Easter approaches us I thought it would be fun to make some Easter “things”. I did a search on the net for some ideas and I came upon this clever craft idea by www.thecraftingchicks.com .
This is a great idea to use as decorations for your Easter Celebration. Add an Easter egg or two and give it to someone at your Easter Celebration. And it’s a prefect craft idea to do with the kids during the school holidays.
This is my version of the Bunny and Chicken Easter Cones
What you will need:
- Paper
- Felt
- Googly Eyes
- Pom-pom balls
- Whiskers
- Wood Wool
- Ribbon
- Glue / Stapler
- Pencil & Ruler
- Punch
Let’s start off with making a pattern for our cone and the ears and beak.
Place your cone pattern on the paper you have chosen to use and trace around it and cut it out. Place your ears and beak pattern on the felt and trace around it and cut it out.
From your cut out paper make a cone shape and either glue or staple it together.
Punch a hole at the top on either side of your cones and thread your ribbon through to make a handle.
For your Bunnies Face, glue googly eyes, pom-pom ball & whiskers.
For your Chickens Face, glue googly eyes, felt ears and beak.
Stuff the inside of the cone with wood wool.
And it’s done……..
